How to Change Your Pay Per Minute (PPM) rate:

Keep in mind that it is not a good idea to change this rate too often, as it may frustrate your customers.

From your profile dashboard, select “my rates” from the Profile Related Shortcuts.

Place your cursor in the Customer Price box and remove the price that is listed.

Key your new Pay Per Minute rate that you want to charge.  Your earnings for the amount entered will be displayed in the right “You Earn” box.

Click the “Save!” button.

 

How to change your Webcam Pay Per Minute rate:

Here you will set a PPM rate for video chat.  We recommend that this rate be higher than your regular PPM rate, as it is an enhanced service.  You will also need to visit the Webcam Handles page to offer this service.

  • Click on the Webcam tab.
  • Place your cursor in the Customer Price box.
  • Type your new Webcam PPM rate.
  • Click the “Save!” button.

How to raise your Skype Pay Per Minute Rate

*Here you will set a PPM rate for your Skype services. We recommend that this rate be higher than your regular PPM rate, as it is an enhanced service.

  1. Click on the “Skype” tab.
  2. Place you cursor in the Customer Price box.
  3. Type you new Skype PPM rate.
  4. Click the “Save!” button

Edit Your Profile

Go to your Profile Dashboard.

Click on the Profile you want to Edit, located on the far left of the screen.

Click the “Edit” button, located on the top right hand side of your Profile.

You will see the following headings:

Profile Title – You can only change your profile title if you do not have any contacts on the profile.  If you do not have any contacts, and which to change your profile title please email psychicsupport@psychics.com with your request.

Profile Headline – Place your cursor inside the box and change your Profile Headline

Profile Description – Place your cursor inside the box and change your Profile Description

Interests, Topics, and Bio – To change these selections entries click the edit link in the respective boxes.

Remember to click the “Save Changes” button after you make any changes.

Set Profile Photo

Go to your Profile Dashboard.

Click on the Profile you want to set your Profile Photo for, located on the far left of the screen.

On the profile page you selected click “Profile Photo”.

If you have a current profile photo it will be displayed.

Click the “Change / Upload Photo” graphic.

An Upload Photos overlay will appear on your screen.  You will not be able to perform any other action besides choosing a photo, unless you close this window first.

There are three ways to choose a photo/image for your profile:

Uploading an image from your computer

Choosing an image you have already uploaded to your profile

Using your webcam to take a new photo

To upload a photo from your computer:

Click the “Click here to upload your image” graphic.

You may only upload jpeg, gif, & png files with a maximum file size of 5 MB

Choose the folder on your computer where your photo is saved.

Choose the file for your photo.

Click “Open”.

If your file type is not supported, you will see an error message; check if you are using a compatible file.

To choose a photo you have already uploaded:

Click the “Your Photos” tab on the top right.

Choose the photo you would like for your Profile Photo.

To use your webcam to take a new photo:

Click the “Web Camera” tab on the top right.

After you have selected the photo that you which to use as the profile image, use the mouse to drag the dotted line box to crop your photo to remove unnecessary background, other people, etc.

Click “Set as your Profile Photo” to use this photo. Should you choose to start again with a different photo click “Discard.”

If you have successfully chosen a photo, you will see a message that your photo is pending approval and see it as Pending on the change Profile Photo page.

Create a Psychic Account

Go to the Psychics homepage- Psychics.com.

You should see a login at the right for Callers.  At the bottom of that black box you will see “Want to be a Psychic? Click here.” Click the “Click here” link.

On the next page, click the blue button “Start Advising Now!”.

A “Become A Psychic” registration form will appear that asks for basic account information, fill in this form completely.

Keep in mind that you may wish to establish a dedicated e-mail address for your business.

Click the respective links Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy in order to read them.

Click on box in order to agree to the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these policies, you will not be allowed to create an account as a Talker on Talktome.com.

Click the blue“Register” button.

Great, now that you have established an account on Psychics, you will see a Welcome message just for you, with the options to either “Create my Profile Now” or “Not now, maybe later”.

Adding a Schedule

Adding a Schedule

Complete a schedule of dates and times that will appear on your profile letting people know when you are available for phone calls and/or chat. Keep in mind that as the site grows you will be required to stick to your schedule or change it. You can change your schedule at any time.

Step 1:

Set your Time Zone. The drop menu displays time zones for the continental United States, Hawaii, and Alaska.

Step 2:

Place a check in the box next to the day of the week you will be available. Initially the hours are set to 12:00 AM – 12:00 AM.  Under “”Set Schedule”” use your mouse pointer to move the left and right slider buttons – one at a time – to the specific start and stop times you will be available for the day you selected.

Place your mouse pointer over the slider button and do a “left click and hold” to move the slider button. As you do this you will see the time change.

The left slider button is the “Start” time and the right slider button is the “Stop” time.

My Contacts

The “My Contacts” page has the following navigation tabs:

Contacts: This displays callers who have previously contacted you. On this page you can add callers to Favorites by clicking the heart icon. The heart icon will turn red to indicate that the caller has been added to your Favorites. You can also block callers from contacting you by clicking the “Block” icon.

Favorites: This displays callers who you have made as Favorites.

Blocked: This displays callers who you have blocked from contacting you

Add A Gallery

Photo criteria:

  • Go to your Dashboard.
  • Click on the Profile you want to add a Gallery to, located on the far left of the screen.
  • Click the “Edit” button, located on the top right hand side of your Profile.

You will see your Basic Information selected on the left hand bar menu.

  • On the left hand bar menu, click “Galleries”.

You will see Galleries selected on the left hand bar menu with a message stating you have no Galleries.

  • Click the “+ Create Gallery” button, located on the top left hand side of the screen, below Galleries.

An overlay will appear that gives you basic information on the Gallery creation process.

  • Once you have read the information, click the “Go Create Your Gallery!” button, located on the bottom right hand side of the overlay.

This is Step 1: Add a Cover Photo

  • There are three ways to choose a Cover Photo for your Gallery:
  1. Uploading an image from your computer
  2. Choosing an image you have already uploaded
  3. Using your webcam to take a new photo

To upload a photo from your computer:

  • Click the “Click here to upload your image” graphic.
    • You may only upload jpeg, gif, & png files.
    • 5MB maximum file size.
    • Choose the folder where your photo is saved.
    • Choose the file for your photo.
    • Click “Open”.
      If your file type is not supported, you will see an error message; check if you are using a compatible file.

To choose a photo you have already uploaded:

  • Click the “Your Photos” tab on the top right.
  • Choose the photo you would like for your Profile Photo.

To use your webcam to take a new photo:

  • Click the “Web Camera” tab on the top right.
  • Click the “Add Photos” button

You are now at Step 2: Provide Details about your Gallery.

  • Enter a Title, Price, and Description.
    • The minimum price of a gallery is $20.00 and is pre-populated. You can change the price of a gallery that you add.
    • The “”Title”” and “”Description”” text you enter should be carefully thought out and written so that it will make a user want to purchase it. This text can be changed if you need to do so.
  • Click the “Create Gallery” button.

You will see another overlay that allows you to add photos to your Gallery in the same 3 ways you added the cover photo.

  • Add your photos one at a time.
    • Photos that you have uploaded to previous galleries can be added to newer galleries but it would be to your benefit to make new galleries with new photos. This will make users be more inclined to purchase new galleries from you which will earn you more money.
    • You can move between the three ways to add photos after every photo you add to the gallery.
    • As you add photos to your gallery thumbnails of the photos will be displayed for you under “”New Gallery Photos”” so you can see the photos as you add them.
  • Click the “Save Gallery” button to save your Gallery.

You will see an overview that states the name and description of your Gallery, pricing and sale information, and the photos you have chosen.

  • To make any changes, click the “Edit” button.
  • Click the “Save” button.

The gallery you added will appear on the Galleries page but not appear on your profile for users to see and purchase until it has been approved by our administrative staff. This can take up to 24 hours. This is denoted by the icon on your cover photo.

E-mails are sent out when galleries are approved or rejected:

E-mail subject for an approved gallery:  Congratulations!  Your gallery has been approved.

E-mail subject for a rejected gallery:  Your recent gallery submission requires attention.

To add photos to your Gallery:

  • Click the “Add Photos” button.
  • Upload, choose, or take new photos as previously instructed.
  • Click the “Save Gallery” button.

There are a few more options with your Galleries.  You can download it as a .zip file or delete it.  Keep in mind that you will not be able to remove a photo from the Gallery once it has been purchased by a customer.

To change the Cover Photo or remove a photo from your Gallery:

  • Hover your mouse over the photo.
  • You will see two options, Make Cover and Remove.
  • Click “Make Cover” to change the Cover Photo for your Gallery.
  • Click on “Remove” to delete the photo from the Gallery.

This photo will no longer be in your Gallery, but will be available in “Your Photos” for use at another time.

Create A Profile

If you are newly registered as a talker you need to create a profile. A profile is how visitors to our site will find you. A profile is required for all psychics.

Your Profile or Listing will be used by the Callers, your customers, to find YOU on Psychics.com.  The more pertinent information you put in your Profile, the more likely callers with similar interests will find YOU.  Profiles are required by all callers, yes, you will be able to create multiple Profiles.

Here are the steps to create a profile.

If you are newly registered you will create your first profile as part of the registration process. If you do not want to create a profile at that time, just click the “Close” button on the “Create a Profile” modal.  When you next logon to the site a modal will display so you can create a profile. Click the “Create My Profile Now” button.

Step 1 – General Information – First, select the category that you want your profile to be found in.  You cannot change your category for the profile, so please pick carefully.  Create your profile Title, Headline, and Description and then select off any languages that you speak fluently.  Click the “Save and Continue” button.

Make the Title, Headline, and Description as interesting as possible so visitors will want to call you to help increase your business. The Description can be up to 2,000 characters. You may want to compose the Description in a word processing program first and spell check it, then copy/paste it to the Description data collection box.

  • Your Profile Title cannot be changed, so take your time in deciding on your Title, and make it something you think will attract the most Callers.
  • If you have to change your profile category or title, you will need to create a new profile.  Please be careful you are selecting the correct information.
  • Click the green button “Save & Continue”

Step 2 – Interests – Select up to 5 interests that best fit your profile. This is one of the ways visitors will find your profile.

Step 3 – Topics – Select up to 3 topics that you are comfortable advising callers on.

Step 4 – Bio – The bio questions are to give the callers a sense of who you are, what type of abilities you have, and some background on your history as a psychic advisor.

  • This will give the caller an opportunity to choose YOU based on your distinctive description.

Step 5 – Telephone Pricing – Set your Pay Per Minute Rate here for calls you receive. You can also create flat rate packages and introductory offers.  After you have created your profile check out the “”Rates”” page.

Step 6 – Click the green “Create My Profile!” button.

Your Profile will be activated soon….while you wait you can:

Set profile picture                                Edit my profile

Manage my rates                                  Close window

You have now completed your profile!

Need to make changes?

  • Click on the Profile you want to Edit, located on the far left of the screen.
  • Click the “Edit” button, located on the top right hand side of your Profile.

To Create an Additional Profile

  • Go to your Dashboard.

Click the “Create a Profile” button on the far left, below your existing Profile(s) and follow the previous instructions.

Selling Webcam Handles

Webcams allow you to communicate with your Callers via video chat.  Many callers are willing to pay an extra fee to have a webcam session.  Webcams are an optional part of your phone call.  You connect with your caller via the phone just like a typical call, but then you have the ability to launch a webcam session using third party webcam systems such as Skype.

In order to offer webcams as an option to Callers you will need the following:

  1. A computer or phone equipped with a webcam.
  2. An account with one of the 5 webcam messaging systems we support.

We support 5 webcam software options:

  1. Skype
  2. AOL Instant Messenger
  3. Yahoo! Messenger
  4. Google Talk
  5. iMessage.

It is your responsibility to instruct your Callers in how they can connect with your webcam.  We recommend you explain this to your callers prior to receiving your call.  See our help section for specifics on setting up a webcam for each supported system.

If you wish to sell webcams, you will need to enter your username or handle for the webcam service you wish to offer along with the price you will charge your caller to receive your webcam username/handle.    Please keep in mind you are only charging for access to your webcam username/handle.  YOU WILL NOT BE PAID A PER-MINUTE RATE ON WEBCAMS.  Once your caller has purchased your webcam username/handle, they will be able to connect to your webcam feed during your call.
